There has been something of a baby boom at North End since the start of last season with Danny Dichio, Matt Hill, Callum Davidson, Eric Skora and Tye Mears all welcoming new additions already.

Now hot on their heels is Chris Sedgwick whose girlfriend Hayley is due to give birth in just a fortnight's timek, but it doesn't stop there with Andy Lonergan, Brian Stock and Lewis Neal all also expecting.

A heavily pregnant girlfriend has meant a fairly quiet summer for Sedgwick and now after a proper break he's just hoping the baby make a prompt arrival:

"It's due a week before we come back so hopefully it will arrive on time because with a new manager coming in you don't want to be asking for favours too early on."
