Former PNE boss Alan Irvine brought Paul Parry to the club in August 2009, when the midfielder signed from Cardiff on a three year deal.

Parry had spent five years at Cardiff, the club he joined for £75,000 from Hereford. He was a big hit at the Welsh club, earning himself 11 international caps for Wales whilst there, scoring one goal against Canada in 2004.

He enjoyed a fantastic start to his PNE career, scoring a great goal against Barnsley, but tendonitis ruled him out from December for the remainder of the season.

A lightning fast winger, Parry can play on either flank, or up front, as he has done on a number of occasions for PNE last season. Before his injury he was a valuable outlet on the flanks, and will be looking to pick up where he left off when he returns to full fitness.

The former Cardiff man has twice before scored more than 10 league goals in a season, and if he can maintain his fitness, fans will hope to see a similar return for North End.
