Preston's Chris Brown enjoyed a successful third season with The Lilywhites in 2009-2010, scoring 11 crucial goals, including a stunning chip at home to Cardiff. It was his best scoring season to date, with his physical presence and aerial threat proving too much for some Championship defences.
The big striker joined in January 2008 for an undisclosed fee and immediately adhered himself to the fans. His magnificent brace again Charlton being the highlight as North End avoided the drop, thanks in no small part to the arrival of Chris Brown.
Having began his footballing career at Sunderland, where he scored 11 goals, along with another 11 in loan spells at Doncaster and Hull City, Brown moved to Norwich City in 2006. After notching another 9 goals at Carrow Road, despite being hampered by a hamstring injury, Brown joined Preston.
Now a regular starter for Preston, Brown will always be loved by fans for his goals against Charlton, Burnley, and a memorable brace against close rivals Blackpool in November 2008.
Brown's partnership with Jon Parkin brought the club lots of goals last season, and this partnership extends into the kitchen. The pair were part of the team that romped home to victory in Preston North End's version of Masterchef, cooking a mouth-watering a fillet steak.
