Joe Anyinsah followed in former Bristol City team mate Matt Hill's footsteps when his contract expired in the summer of 2005.
He ended an 11-year association with the Ashton Gate side when he signed a three year contract with PNE and will provide some stiff competition for Chris Sedgwick on the right wing.
Anyinsah made just nine appearances for City and spent a month on loan at Hereford in his final season down south, making three appearances.
He was labelled as one for the future when he arrived at Deepdale but he did manage four appearances - all as a substitute - before spending a month on loan at Bury.
Chris Casper was desperate to extend his stay at Gigg Lane, but injury prompted an early return to Deepdale.
Last season was a disappointing one for the winger who suffered a series of niggling injuries after impressing the new boss during pre season.
He made four appearances as a substitute before a knee injury, suffered in January, bought a premature end to his season.
