Preston North End completed the signing of Macedonian international Veliche Shumulikoski from Ipswich Town on in August 2009.
The dynamic midfielder signed a three-year deal with the Club to keep him at Deepdale until the summer of 2012.
Shumulikoski or 'Shumi' had over 50 caps at the time of signing, for his home nation of Macedonia and has been described by some as the 'Balkan Gerrard'. He arrived in this country in January 2008 when Ipswich Town paid a reported £600,000 to Turkish Superlig outfit Bursaspor.
The 28-year-old has also had spells at Zenit St Petersburg, FC Slovacko (Czech Republic) and NK Publikum (Slovenia).
He wears the number eight shirt for both club and country and is the vice captain of the Macedonian national side.o
