Conor McLaughlin burst onto the scene last November in front of the Sky cameras making his first team debut against Hull City.
The Northern Ireland U21 international went on to make a further six appearances for the first team, impressing the North End faithful before suffering a horrific ankle injury which left the young full back side lined for the remainder of the 2011/12 season.
Conor is now back in full training and is raring to go for the new season, ready to battle it out with former Man United man David Gray for the right back berth.
McLaughlin isn't just a great ball winner, but he can cause the opposition full backs problems with his overlapping runs. Conor provided the cross for Billy Jones to head home to secure a vital point away at Middlesbrough last season.
We could be seeing quite a lot of the young Northern Irish man this season.
