A lifelong Preston North End fan, George Miller signed professional terms with the club in January 2010 on a two and a half year contract.
After a highly successful season captaining the youth team in the 2009/10 season, it was no surprise when the young midfielder signed. His performances for the youth team really stood out, and they romped home to the league title with games to spare.
Memorable FA Youth Cup victories over the favourites Man City, and then league leaders Sunderland were just some of the highlights for the 19-year-old.
During this record breaking season where he captained the team to a league and cup double, Miller was called up to the first team squad away at West Bromwich Albion at the back end of the 2009/10 season.
Miller made his Preston North End debut when he came off the bench against Watford in the final game of last season, and he has been compared to none other than Paul McKenna. It looks like we're going to be seeing a lot more of George Miller in the coming season.
