Douglas is another one of the promising youth players to have come through the youth system in the past two seasons at Deepdale, along with Conor McLaughlin, Jamie Proctor and several more.
The Irish man's time in Lancashire has been hampered by injury, and has spent a long period of time on the side lines. The 19-year-old suffered a devastating cruciate knee ligament injury, but returned in 2010, scoring a fantastic brace in the 5-1 reserve team victory over Middlesbrough.
A predominantly left-footed player, Douglas has a real eye for goal. He plays off the shoulders and is very quick. His return from injury at such a young age shows what determination this young lad has.
Douglas will be hoping to push the senior striker's at the Club and break his way into Phil Brown's first team plans.
