Walk of Fame Phase Six A Success

Posted on: Tue 03 Feb 2009

*Please Note: After the completion of phase six around the Splash statue, the Club is no longer selling bricks for the Walk of Fame. Although no more phases are planned in the short term, further phases have not been ruled out at some point in the future. Please keep up to date with news on pne.com for further information.

The Club unveiled phase six of the Sir Tom Finney Walk of Fame on Saturday 30th August prior to the Charlton match, the last phase currently planned for the Splash area.

Hundreds more fans have therefore gone down in PNE history in phase six, joining over 2000 other supporters' bricks in phases one to five.

Phase six contains the remaining eight of the sixteen 'fans favourites' chosen by PNE supporters based on their success and/or fame in a North End shirt. This includes, Andy Saville, Gary Brazil, Tom Smith, David Beckham, David Nugent, Gareth Ainsworth and Mick Baxter.

Fans were asked to vote for their favourite players throughout the Club's history, players who might not have made a record number of appearances but nevertheless left a lasting impression on the Deepdale crowd.

Any supporters that have ordered replica bricks will be able to collect them from the Club shop from 30th August onwards.

Here are some images of the recently completed phase six.
