FIT FANS is a free 12-week programme open to men and women aged 35 to 65-years-old who want to lose weight, improve their fitness and lead a healthier and more active lifestyle.
The programme offers health and fitness advice and support along with a weekly session held at Deepdale, home of Preston North End Football Club, where participants meet to take part in a 90-minute session made up of a healthly lifestyles workshop before an exercise session in the stadium.
The programme is open to those who have a BMI over 28, for men whose waist measures more than 38 inches and for women whose waist measures more than 31 inches.
Support is provided by the staff of Preston North End Community and Education Trust to support participants on their journey towards making better lifestyle choices to achieve their health and fitness goals, while meeting like-minded Preston North End supporters along the way.
The Trust's first FIT FANS programme engaged with 43 unique participants, who averaged an incredible weight loss of 5.1kg over the course of their 12-week programme!
