Preston North End will renew their rivalry with Championship outfit Leeds United this weekend at Deepdale.
The Lilywhites have experienced a number of memorable matches against United during the last few years, including the 6-4 win at Elland Road back in September 2010.
With a strong contingency expected from Yorkshire, it will provide the perfect test for Graham Westley’s side with the first game of the season against Huddersfield Town not far away.
The hosts will be looking for their third pre-season win on the bounce, following on from the 1-0 win over AEK Athens and the 4-1 win at AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Leeds, managed by Neil Warnock have recently returned from a pre-season trip to Norway, with their latest result a 1-1 draw against Sandefjord.
Team News
Midfield duo Jack King and John Welsh will be hoping for a return to first team action after a recent spell on the sidelines.
Quick winger David Amoo is unlikely to be risked for the game against United, whilst Lee Trundle is the only long term absentee.
Visitors Leeds will hope to welcome new signing and Jamaican international Rodolph Austin into their squad, whist Paddy Kenny and Luciano Becchio are also expected to return.
