Open Day Training Saturday From 1pm

10 August 2012

Manager Graham Westley will give some fans the chance to play against the team at the Open Training Day on Saturday from 1pm

Yes, that’s right, you could be facing up against Thorsten Stuckmann, Scott Laird, John Mousinho and co in a match on the famous Deepdale turf.

The manager will pick a number of people from the crowd in different age groups to take on his charges in an open training day to remember – as long as they are wearing one of the new 2012/13 home, away or third kits!

There will also be special competitions with the players, including keepie uppies, skills and other footballing events for all the family to join in with.

You will also be able to get photos and autographs with the players, as well as a proper family fun day feel, with bouncy castle, fairground rides and face painting outside the ground. Inside the ground the Invincibles concourses will be open, and in there will also be a sale of shop merchandise with some massively reduced stock items available.

Speaking about the event, chairman of football Peter Ridsdale said: “The manager is really looking forward to having his players tested by our own fans!

“But joking aside, this is a fantastic opportunity for our fans to really get to know our new squad and to understand their passion for bringing success back to this football club. I hope as many people as possible are able to join us for what should be a really fun and enjoyable day.”

The concourse in the Invincibles Pavilion will also be open as will the bar in the Guild Lounge, with fans given the chance the look round the hospitality areas in the newest Deepdale stand.

Turnstiles open at 12.30pm with the players on the pitch from 1pm; so don’t miss out on what will be a unique experience at Deepdale and a chance to mingle with the squad.

Please note – due to the extra on pitch activities and fan interaction on the day the Club’s official team photo will not take place during the stadium open times as was previously advertised.
