Manager Graham Westley was delighted with the work ethic from his team as they played their first competitive fixture together following the summer revolution.
Speaking to PNE Player after the 2-0 victory over the Terrier, the North End boss praised the way his side have come together in the six weeks since the start of pre-season.
"The lads have worked really hard to put in a performance like that, so all credit to them," he told the Club's online video service. "It is important we take the initiative in games. We have to get our game going early, we did that."
