North End forweard Chris Holroyd has joined hometown club Macclesfield Town on loan until January.
The North End No.15 is yet to feature in Graham Westley’s squad this season and has been given the opportunity to go and play games with the Moss Rose club.
Holroyd joined the Lilywhites in January from Rotherham, joining up with the North End boss for the second time after a spell on loan at Stevenage earlier in his career.
So far he has made 19 appearances for the Lilywhites, scoring one goal, the equaliser in the penultimate away game of 2011/12 at Oldham Athletic.
The 25-year-old has signed a half season loan, keeping him at the Cheshire club until January 1st (inclusive) and went straight into the squad for their Blue Square Premier clash with Lincoln City at Sincil Bank on Saturday afternoon, the first of a Bank Holiday double header – facing Barrow at home on Monday.
