Defender Shane Cansdell-Sherriff will miss the next two games through suspension.
“Joel Byrom filled in very well when Shane went off and he can play there Joel. We have also got David Buchanan, we are fortunate we have recruited versatile players and if somebody has to miss out we have plenty of lads who can come in and do a quality job.”
Manager Graham Westley said: “I don’t think Shane can have any complaints, he took two relatively soft yellows but as a pair of yellows they were a pair of yellows.
The 30-year-old has been handed a two game suspension due to his red card earlier this season at Oldham Athletic.
North End’s number six picked up a second yellow card against Bury on Tuesday late in the game and will miss the Club’s next two games against Coventry and the Shakers on Boxing Day.
