PNE play their annual pre-season clash with local side Bamber Bridge on Monday night looking to get more minutes under their belts after the players picked up their preparations at the weekend.

Manager Graham Westley is expected to give more minutes to David Amoo and Chris Robertson, who returned from injuries to have their first run outs at Morecambe at the weekend, whilst those players who started on the bench at the Globe Arena are expected to start at the QED Stadium.

Lee Holmes missed the weekend’s trip north out of precaution and he again is likely to be on the sidelines with John Welsh, both hoping to be back in training in time for the visit of AEK Athens to Deepdale this coming weekend.

The manager is also likely to continue to look at trialists after admitting at the weekend he is still a number of pieces away from completing his ‘squad jigsaw’ ahead of the new 2012/13 campaign.

Brig have already faced fellow Lancashire side Blackburn and Bolton Wanderers in pre-season and are a similar length of time into their preparations and will be looking to test out their readiness against the Lilywhites in this much anticipated local derby.

Fans are advised that the Irongate car park will be closed to accommodate players and officials of the two teams and are reminded that the kick-off is 7pm with a good crowd and good weather expected, so try and get their early to avoid the queues.
