On 12th August the South Ribble Supporters Group will be holding the first annual match for the PNE South Ribble Supporters Group Cup in aid of the Gary Parkinson appeal.
This match is to be played by a PNE Legends XI versus Bamber Bridge FC and will be held at the QED Stadium with a 1.30pm kick-off.
Legends who have already agreed to play are: Graham Alexander, Sean Gregan, Ian Bryson, Lee Cartwright, Mick 'Baz' Rathbone, Lee Ashcroft (possibly), Graham Atkinson, David Eyres, Jamie Squires and Chris McGrail with many more expected to confirm in the next week.
The proceeds from the day will be split between Bamber Bridge FC and the Gary Parkinson appeal with gates will opening at 12 noon with kick-off at 1.30pm.
Entry prices for the match will be £5 for adults, £3 for over 65's and ten to 16-year-olds, and free to any child under ten accompanied by a paying adult.
The Supporters Group will also be raffling off the shirts worn by the legends and will be selling raffle tickets before and on the day.
As well as normal stand entry, there are 20 hospitality places available, with a buffet provided and a free bar 30 mins before kick off through to 30 minutes after the game. The cost of this is £25 per person, so if anyone is interested in this please email the address listed below.
A special collectors edition programme is also being produced for the day, with opportunities for businesses to advertise now available, the costs are as follows: half page - £50; full page - £75. Each half page taken will also receive five raffle tickets for the draw to win the shirts worn by the legends.
There will be a 'hit the crossbar' competition at half-time so if anyone would like to enter this please again email the address below; the first five emails received will be able to take part.
In addition to this a fans forum will be held in the bar after the game, the players attending this will be announced at a later date. The forum taking place between 4pm and 5.30pm.
