New signing Lee Trundle feels the mix of new signings at Deepdale signal a successful future for the Club.
Speaking to PNE Player after completing the paperwork of his one-year contract, the 35-year-old said that the quality of recruitment was a good sign for the new campaign.
“I want to bring my experience of this league to the Club,” he said. “I’ve spent most of my time in League One so it is a league that I know well and with the young fresh players that we have brought in as well, then it is a good mix of talent here and I think there are good times ahead.
“I’m delighted to join a massive club. Although we are in League One, the Club should be a lot higher and I am looking forward to being a part of this season and getting the Club promoted.”
The former Swansea hero has been with the squad since the opening game of pre-season and is enjoying his time at Deepdale: “All the lads have been brilliant,” he continued. “I’ve been here since the first day of training, so I have got to know all the days, trained with the lads and played in every game as well.
“I’ve been impressed with the squad and with the players that have been brought in and its looking as though it is going to be a successful season.
“It’s a massive club and the fanbase is brilliant. It is a club that deserves success and hopefully with the fans behind us this season we can bring that.”
