Having recently searched for information on former player, Tom Pratt, I accidentally came across a site about public houses and inns, in and around Preston.
I had always known about a few ex-North Enders being landlords of pubs after their footballing careers had ended, but I have subsequently been able to add to my list.
If anyone has further information I would be very grateful. The site I came across is Steve Halliwell’s Preston’s Inns, Taverns and Beerhouses. Well worth a look.

Pete Sayer is currently the steward at Preston Golf Club and another member of the ‘old Invincibles’, Sandy Robertson, was a steward on an Atlantic liner in July 1892!
