So let’s do it again and hit and make the Bescot Stadium blue and white this weekend.

However, North End have already proven this season that they can turn opposition stadium’s into their home, after taking near 3,000 to Bury just under two weeks ago.

Westley’s men are level on points with the Saddlers heading into this weekend’s game, with the division already proving to be a tight affair.

“We played the ball well from the back and we showed patience but we showed good thrust as well and the lads were building play. The balance and the way they used the pitch was first class.

“We didn’t go about playing in the right way but the football tonight was there for everyone to see and they worked the ball exceptionally well in the first half.

“I said on Saturday I expected some hiccups and I hope they wouldn’t cost us but we didn’t play well on Saturday and there is no hiding from that,” said the North End boss.

After Tuesday night’s win boss Graham Westley told the local press he is was delighted with the level of performance his team showed against the Pools.

PNE recorded their biggest league win in over three years, and rocketed up the league table to land in fifth position after seven games played.

Preston North End will head down the M6 this weekend to Walsall this weekend brimming with confidence after their five star display against Hartlepool United on Tuesday night.
