Nicky Wroe once again put in a captain’s performance by scoring his fourth goal of the season as Preston North End defeated Paulo Di Canio’s Robins to kick-off the city’s Guild celebrations in style.
Speaking exclusively to PNE Player the number eight said: “We want to get a good quick start in games and we managed to do that. We got on top and they didn’t really know what hit them.
“The work ethic from the lads was phenomenal today; we really got in their faces and managed to get that early goal. When you do that it puts other teams on the back foot. “
