So far this season, Mr Brown has taken charge of six games, handing out 13 yellow cards and one red.

Brown, who has been officiating since the 2007/08 season, will be making his first ever trip to Deepdale and has so far worked his way up the refereeing ladder.

The referee for Saturday’s npower League One match between Preston North End and Yeovil Town will be Mark Brown.

The Cottagers paid £350,000 to bring Burn to London from Darlington, and will be looking to make his debut for the Glovers against PNE.

Johnson, renowned for encouraging his side’s to play a passing blend of football, strengthened his back line on Tuesday afternoon with the capture of towering centre half Dan Burn from Fulham.

The return of captain Jamie McAllister, a former North End loanee, saw an improved performance against last season’s Play-Off finalists Sheffield United, losing by one goal to nil.

Saturday’s opponents Yeovil Town will be making only their second ever visit to Deepdale. Managed by Gary Johnson, who is currently enjoying his second spell at Huish Park, Yeovil started the campaign in positive fashion reaching the summit of League One for the first time in their history before recent results have seen them drop away from the early pace setters.

Lee Holmes is four weeks away from a return to action but Lee Trundle’s injury is expected to keep him out until Christmas.

Striker Chris Beardsley is rated 50/50 by manager Graham Westley, whilst defender Keith Keane is closing in on a return but will not be rushed.

Visitors Yeovil, who are making the 231 mile trip north to Lancashire from Somerset, will also be looking for a response after losing their last four matches on the bounce.

However, the Lilywhites have fond memories of their last league contest at home, when they beat Hartlepool United by five goals to nil just over a week ago.

Manager Graham Westley will be looking for a positive response from his troops following Tuesday night’s narrow defeat against Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup on a wet night at Deepdale.
