Get Your Last Award Winning Prog

17 April 2013

We have been privileged to be honoured with the League One programme of the year from two separate organisations this season.

And this weekend is your last chance to pick up and award-winner, with our final 84-page perfect bound edition of The One And Only on sale for the Tranmere Rovers fixture.

And it is an edition not to be missed, whether you are supporter of either club. For North End fans there is a message on behalf of the Club’s owner and board of directors to get you started.

Simon Grayson’s final column of the season is added to by an extended interview with Alan Kelly about his return to the coaching set up at Deepdale. His young protégé Declan Rudd also talks about the end of his loan spell.

In an interview with recent match skipper John Welsh, he talks about facing his former employers, telling the matchday programme: “No doubt Tranmere will be a difficult game; they’re needing the points hovering under the Play-Offs so they’ll come and they’ll have a go at us, and it should be a good game.”

The former Liverpool man had a good spell at Prenton Park and is looking forward to facing the club again, with the memory of an excellent display away there earlier this season still in the mind.

“I think when we come off the pitch that day, we felt that we should have gone on to win it,” he added. “We a good chance to win it, but it’s going to be a tough game.

“They’re a good team and, as I’ve said, Ronnie Moore’s done brilliantly there. He’s got the lads playing; they’ve got good individual players; they’ve been on a bit a bad run of form at the minute, but it should be a good game and we want to be undefeated at home with the new gaffer.”

Also in the programme we have a 14 page away section including interviews with injury Rovers skipper James Wallace and two players who played for both clubs, Les Campbell of the 50’s and 60’s and modern PNE hero Mark Rankine.

In the final countdown of the top goalscorers and top clean sheet keepers we have some big names former players with a special piece about one of them, whilst Ian Rigby wraps up his review of the 1952/53 season.

All this and much, much more is crammed in and still only £3! On sale from Friday afternoon from the Club shop at Deepdale, online on www.mypne.com and in person from our sellers inside and outside the ground from 1pm on matchday.
