Simon Grayson and Joe Garner have been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Manager and Player of the Month respectively.
North End are undefeated in all five league matches throughout the month of November, with Garner scoring five goals in the four matches he featured in.
In that time, the Lilywhites became the first team to win at the Matchroom Stadium this season against Leyton Orient and claimed maximum points after playing with ten men for 87 minutes at Vale Park.
Grayson faces some stiff competition to claim his second Manager of the Month accolade of the season, with some impressive other candidates in the running, consisting of Mark Cooper (Swindon Town), Steve Evans (Rotherham United) and Uwe Rosler (Brentford).
This is the gaffer’s third nomination to date in 2013/14.
North End frontman Garner will also face stiff competition if he is to be rewarded for his excellent performances, up against candidates in the form of Joe Jacobson (Shrewsbury Town), Ryan Lowe (Tranmere Rovers) and David Mooney (Leyton Orient).
The winners of both awards will be announced on Friday, 6th December 2013, with the judging panel of former Charlton Athletic manager Alan Curbishley; Sky Sports Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers’ Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Head of Football Paul Wiggins selecting the managers award and Goodman, Dixon, Wiggins and Football League Head of Communications John Nagle; selecting the winner of the player’s prize.
Congratulations to both Simon and Joe in being nominated.
