Preston North End are asking for you, the fans, to send your videos to us for our official YouTube channel to avoid the risk of these being removed by the website host.
In the summer, the Football League signed a deal with YouTube on behalf of all Clubs, which resulted in every member of the Football League setting up an official YouTube channel.
These channels are key revenue streams for football clubs, with money being generated based on the amount of hits per video.
Because of this, YouTube now monitor all content posted on the video sharing network and content posted which infringes copyright law will be removed.
Rather than losing these videos, PNE would like fans to send them to us at the following email address media@pne.com as we believe that content of fans celebrating, singing, filming goals etc. are excellent insights into the matchday experience from a fans perspective.
In return for your videos, we will give credit to the producer of these in the description box of each video we upload.
Please note, any filming from the moment you enter a stadium is classed as breaching copyright law if it is posted online. It is NOT only videos which contain match action.
For example, filming within the concourse of the stadium is also classed as copyrighted material.
So why not help your Club raise money and get your name associated with Preston North End by sending us your videos for our official YouTube channel pnefcofficial.
