The February half-term saw another hugely successful soccer school run by the Sir Tom Finney Foundation.
It took place at the indoor facilities at Playfootball.net (Formerly Tulketh High School), in Ingol, and saw five days of all-day sessions with well over 100 children enjoying the fun during the week.
On the Thursday afternoon the children were then joined by six special guests to hand out certificates of participation to all those who attended, with Bailey Wright, Jack King, Joe Garner, Andy Procter, Thorsten Stuckmann and Will Hayhurst all arriving at the venue to surprise the children.
Speaking about the week Sir Tom Finney Foundation manager Andy Haythornthwaite said: “It is great to have been able to see so many local children come to the soccer school this half-term.
“And it was even better to be able to see the look on their faces when six of the players took time to come down and spend some time with them. Our sessions run from 8.30am to 4.30pm, so are real value for money for parents during the school holidays as well as providing a safe and, most importantly, enjoyable environment for young fans to take part in.”
