PNE.Com speaks to left winger Lee Holmes ahead of the trip to Somerset.
Ahead of Preston North End’s important journey south to Yeovil, former Southampton man Holmes is confident that the club can record successive away wins after their victory over Hartlepool at Victoria Park.
The Lilywhites midfielder said: “It’s a big opportunity to go down there, stamp our mark on the game and come back with three points.
“We’ll be going down there with respect to the performances that they've been producing but at the same time we’ll be going down there thinking of ourselves and if we perform to the way we can do I can only expect good things.
“Their recent form has been good and that’s obviously why they've been lifted up the table. From our point of view it’s time that we did the same thing and started putting some results together and move forward and upwards.”
Following a beginning to the season which saw Holmes pick up an injury in only the third game at Bournemouth, the winger now feels that he is making good progress after his return and he hopes that can aid the Lilywhites in fighting for wins.
“My injury at the start of the season didn’t help things but after that I felt pretty good and felt as though things are improving.
“I’m improving and with a long run of games you’re only going to get better so it’s a time now where
“Hopefully together we can put these performances in as a team and then come away with as many wins as we possibly can,” he added.
