Holroyd Leaves The Club

4 January 2013

Forward Chris Holroyd has left the Club, after having his contract cancelled by mutual consent.

Preston North End would like to thank Chris for his efforts during his time at Deepdale and wish him all the best for his future career.

Following the summer arrival of more forward options for the manager, the transfer window signing from Rotherham United dropped down the pecking order and was allowed to leave on loan and will now seek another opportunity.

He was Graham Westley’s first signing, back in January 2012, going on to make 20 appearances in the second half of the 2011/12 campaign, scoring one goal, a late equaliser at Oldham Athletic back in April.

The 26-year-old striker has spent the first half of the season on loan in the Blue Square Premier with Macclesfield Town, but is now free to join any club following his departure from Deepdale.
