Kane: This Team Has Passion

3 January 2013

Todd Kane tells the Club’s website the Preston squad are looking for the same winning formula at Millwall this weekend.

“Millwall are a good side, they are not seventh in the Championship for no reason but we will put 100% in and I can’t see why we can’t come away with the win.”

“Playing back down south is pleasing because all my family and friends will be coming to support and we want to get through to the fourth round.

“We have a tough game against Millwall on Saturday; hopefully I will get another start so I can show what I am capable of producing.

“I have enjoyed my experience at Preston so far. I have got on with the lads well, I already knew Jeffrey Monakana before I arrived and I have fitted in really well.

The 19-year-old concluded: “I have had to adapt to the way PNE play, I am still adapting now but hopefully I can carry the momentum into Saturday’s game and get hold of the ball to create chances for the team.

The Lions currently lie just outside the top six in the Championship, but Kane is confident PNE can head back up north with their place confirmed in Sunday’s fourth round draw.

Kane and his fellow team mates will head south on Friday for a tricky third round tie at Millwall in the FA Cup this weekend.

“It shows the passion, desire and determination of the team and everybody worked hard.”

“You could see the commitment of the lads to keep hold of the three points. John Mousinho threw his body on the line right at the end and got a kick in the stomach to prevent Hartlepool equalising.

“It was a really good game, it was good to come back into the team and we are all happy that we got all three points against Hartlepool United,” said the youngster.

The England U19 international played in front of match winner John  Mousinho on the right hand side, and showed on numerous occasions the threat he possess going forward.

The attack minded full back, on loan from European Champions Chelsea, played the full 90 minutes for PNE in the 1-0 win over Hartlepool on New Year’s Day.
