On loan shot stopper Declan Rudd has been called up to England’s U21s
Rudd, who joined North End from Norwich City until the end of the season, has been included in Stuart Pearce’s 24 man squad for the friendly against Sweden at Walsall’s home stadium.
Rudd, who has previously being capped at U16, U17, U19 and U20 level for the Three Lions, will go up against Ben Amos and Jason Steele for the goalkeeping gloves against the Swedes.
Other notable inclusions in the U21 squad selected by Pearce is new Manchester United frontman Wilfred Zaha, who played against PNE earlier this season for Crystal Palace and local lad Phil Jones, a regular fixture in United’s starting line-up.
