Rudd: Fantastic Opportunity

29 January 2013

PNE.Com speaks to on loan Premier League goalkeeper Declan Rudd.

The 22-year-old custodian joined the Lilywhites on loan for the remainder of the season from Norwich City and is immediately available for selection.
Rudd, a graduate of Norwich City’s Academy, has been involved in the first team set up at Carrow Road from an early age and played his part in the club’s back-to-back promotion from League One to the Premier League.

Minutes after his move was signed and sealed, Rudd told the Club’s official website he is happy to get the deal done and is looking forward to the next chapter of his career.

“I am really happy I have completed my loan move to Preston North End; my target is to play first team games on a regular basis,” said Rudd.

“It is a fantastic opportunity to join a big football club and I can’t wait to start training and working hard.

“As a young player it is important to have new experiences and play under different managers.

“Norwich City have recruited another goalkeeper in this window so it has given me the opportunity to go out and play and experience regular first team football.

“I am looking forward to learning from new coaches and different players. Preston North End are a massive Club, from what I know they have a great fan base and I know that they want to be successful and return to where they should be. Hopefully the Club can be successful in 2013.”

PNE Player will speak in full with the new recruit from Norfolk on Thursday, so to listen in full sign up to the Club’s exclusive online channel which is currently at a discounted price.
