Aussie defender Shane Cansdell-Sherriff has joined League Two Rochdale on loan for the remainder of the 2012/13 season.
The summer signing from Shrewsbury Town has made 22 appearances for the Lilywhites since his arrival at Deepdale, scoring once – the winning goal, in the away win at Bury back in September.
Since his second sending off of the season, against Bury in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy in mid-December he has featured just twice and has taken the opportunity of regular football at Spotland for the remainder of the campaign.
The 30-year-old left-sider was not part of the squad that travelled down for the postponed game at Crawley Town on Tuesday and completed the formalities of the paperwork on the loan deal in Greater Manchester on Wednesday morning.
