Goalkeeper Steve Simonsen has today agreed a mutual cancellation of his contract at Deepdale.
The 33-year-old stopper joined the Lilywhites just before the start of the league season, having been released by Sheffield United last summer. He made his first start in the Capital One Cup win over Crystal Palace at Deepdale, going on to make a total of 16 starts for the Lilywhites.
His last appearance ended with him picking in a knee injury late in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy defeat at Coventry City earlier this month.
