Improved Family Stand For 2013/14

17 July 2013

PNE have launched a brand new Family Room for supporters who sit in the family section of the Sir Tom Finney Stand at Deepdale.

Anyone holding a matchday ticket for the Family Stand will gain access to the family area which includes an entertainment room dedicated to children – housing games consoles, televisions, face painters and colouring activities!

There will be two PlayStation 3 systems for kids to battle their wits against one another on EA Sports’ fantastic FIFA 13 title – while children’s cartoons will be shown on the other available TVs.

What’s more, if you’re really passionate about PNE, you can show your support by having your face painted in Lilywhites colours right before kick-off.

The kids’ room will be fully staffed at all times, though young children must be accompanied by an adult.

Younger Lilywhites fans will also get the chance to post a letter to their favourite PNE player using our North End post box – a new feature where young fans can write a letter to their favourite star and are guaranteed a response.

In the run up to each home game, junior supporters will be able to compose their message, address it to any player they see fit and can expect a reply from their hero as soon as possible.

So, if you think Bailey Wright had a belter against Wolves or John Welsh walked all over Lancashire rivals Blackpool, you’ll be able to congratulate them through a personalised memo.

Response time may vary, but sure enough, you’ll find your favourite player will have written back before you know it!

There will also be opportunities for kids to have their photograph taken with the famous PNE mascot, Deepdale Duck – a chance not to be missed!

Sir Tom Finney Foundation manager Andy Haythornthwaite is excited to see the new Family Room in full swing, and has highlighted North End’s aim to feel as welcoming as possible to fans of all ages.

“We really want the Club to be recognised as a family club,” Andy told the official website.

“We want more value for families who come to the game because we understand it’s not the cheapest day out.”

Andy is passionate about providing the highest standard of refreshments for the Family Room and is pleased that PNE’s new catering partners, The Villa At North End, have agreed to help out the new matchday fixture in that department.

“We want to give more to them for their money and it will couple with our new catering partners to provide a better family environment,” he concluded.

“We are working towards providing special packages for children with healthy snacks and a collectable at the end of it to take home and keep coming back for more at future games.

If you already have a ticket in another part of the ground and want to transfer to the Family Stand for the full experience, then just contact the ticket office in store or over the phone on 0844 856 1966.
