A talk about the second careers of some of Preston’s Invincibles side in the licensed trade will take place in the New Pavilion at Avenham Park on Wednesday 10th July.
Pub historian Steve Halliwell will lead the event, cleverly titled ‘Invincibles to Inn-vincibles’, as he retraces the fascinating history of several members of the famous 1888/89 North End side's lives after football.
The illustrated talk is scheduled to begin at 7.30 pm and will take on extra significance as the Club celebrates the 125th anniversary of the Invincibles' achievements and its new crest for the highly anticipated 2013/14 season.
The cafe in the Pavilion will be open prior to the talk, for those wanting refreshments, and a £2 entrance fee will apply.
