Ten Community Vacancies At PNE

20 June 2013

PNE’s community department has ten casual vacancies available for the coming 2013/14 season.

You can join the team here at Deepdale with work on offer in a variety of roles from junior supporters’ club staff to residential leaders.

Three matchday positions are up for grabs with candidates required to work every matchday – including midweek and evening games – as well as show enthusiasm and dedication to the role.

The jobs will involve a combination of exciting duties from working with first team players while they interact with fans at games, to organising and running a pre-match tournament on the Deepdale pitch.

The role will be paid on a game-by-game basis, with salary details to be discussed at interview.

One of these roles will specifically suit someone looking to develop event or hospitality experience and not necessarily football enthusiasts.

One junior supporters’ club role is available with expenses paid and access to watch every Lilywhites game absolutely free!

The job will include responsibility for the next generation of Preston fans who come to games early, take part in activities, meet players and support the team during the game.

The successful candidate would preferably have completed a CRB check and be first aid trained.

North End are also looking for an away mascot coordinator – a voluntary role in which the successful candidate will receive a complimentary season ticket to watch every Preston game for free and the chance to meet both home and away players on matchdays.

The job will include responsibility for away mascots, with access to the tunnel and away dressing room area.

The Club are also after two summer residential leaders, who must be aged 21 or over, to work full time for four weeks - two of which would be away from home - during the summer holidays.

The project is set to run between 29th July and 23rd August with applicants preferably being experienced at working with teenagers.

In return each leader will receive a complimentary PNE season ticket for the 2013/14 campaign.

Three casual session staff are also required. Successful candidates will be paid an hourly rate and mileage expenses to deliver coaching in the local community and schools.

Applicants for this fantastic position must hold at least a level 2 FA coaching qualification and must have, or be working toward, their FA coaches licence, including a current first aid qualification.

All roles will report to the community manager.

For any additional information regarding these roles please contact the community manager Andy Haythornthwaite on 01772 693312.

To apply please send a copy of your CV and covering letter, explaining how you are suitable for the role, to andy@pne.com.

Please note, if you would like to apply for more than one role, please mention this on your covering letter, you do not need to send two applications.
