Crawley Rearranged Again

5 March 2013

North End’s trip to face Crawley Town has again been rearranged due to an international call-up.

The Sussex side have invoked their right to have the game postponed from its scheduled date of Tuesday 19th March, following Mustapha Dumbuya’s call-up by Sierra Leone for their clash with Tunisia.

Normally, a club requires three players to be called up for a fixture to be announced, however, a Football League rule states that if a game is ‘rearranged into an international window’, one player being called up can allow the club with that player to ask for a rearrangement.

Crawley have used this right and the fixture has been rearranged for the final week of the season, with North End travelling for our first ever game at the Broadfield Stadium on Tuesday 23rd April, with a 7.45pm kick-off.

The original game, scheduled for last month, was called off an hour before kick-off after a downpour had left the pitch unplayable.

Tickets purchased for the original game are still valid on 23rd April, however, those wishing to claim a refund can do so by returning their tickets to the ticket office up to 48 hours before the game.
