Sherwood PS Dreaming Of Wembley

13 March 2013

Sherwood Primary School will represent PNE tomorrow, in the Npower Kids Cup League One regional final in Walsall.

The school fought off some stiff competition from 41 other teams to win the local competition which was held over two days at Playfootball.net; without losing a single match.

They now head to the Midlands to take part in the regional final where they will face another 13 teams from across northern England, with the winners heading to Wembley to face their southern counterparts before the League One Play-Off final.

Speaking about the event, Lilywhites Community Officer Jonathan Ellithorn, who organised the local tournament said: It's fantastic to see a school that we have such a good relationship with, go on to represent both the club and the City of Preston, and we feel they have great chance of going all the way to Wembley."

Everyone at Preston North End would like to extend their very best wishes and good luck to Paul Whelan and his Sherwood team tomorrow.

You can find out how they get on by keeping abreast of the latest North End news on PNE.Com and by checking out the Community pages in the double award winning official matchday programme The One And Only, priced at only £3.
