Monakana Returns To PNE

13 November 2013

Jeffrey Monakana has returned to Preston North End from his loan spell with Colchester United.

The winger will return to Deepdale and be available for this weekend’s trip to Leyton Orient if selected by manager Simon Grayson.

The gaffer has decided to invoke the club’s option to recall the Lilywhites’ No.17 following his initial 28 day move to The Weston Homes Community Stadium back in September.

Monakana has appeared nine times for the U’s since his loan move south, scoring on his debut against Bradford City in a 2-2 draw.

Following his recall, the former Arsenal youngster will be looking to add to his 49 previous appearances for PNE, the last of these coming against MK Dons in a 2-2 draw in mid-August.

With Stuart Beavon suspended and several other North End players currently out on loan,  the tricky wide man will be looking to build on his recent run of games, with Preston hoping to be the beneficiaries.
