Preston North End are intending to appeal the red card handed out to Neil Kilkenny in Tuesday’s victory over Port Vale.
The Club intend to appeal the sending off on the grounds of mistaken identity, following an incident which occurred in the 13th minute of the 2-0 win over the Valiants.
In addition, North End will look to appeal the subsequent expected red card which could be given to Joe Garner, on the grounds of wrongful dismissal.
Preston North End will submit video evidence and statements to the Football Association by the 1pm deadline on Thursday, with the case expected to be heard later on that afternoon.
No further comment will be made by the football Club until the result of the hearing is known.
