Russell Watson Joins PNE

28 November 2013

Music sensation Russell Watson will be singing at half-time when PNE entertain Bristol City.

The Salfordian is no stranger to visiting Preston, following trips in the 90s and 00s when his career was taking off.

The self-proclaimed ‘People’s Tenor’ will be in attendance alongside the Katy Holmes Trust, a charity close to Watson’s heart.

In 2006, Watson had a benign pituitary tumour removed but the following year he had to undergo emergency surgery following a regrowth of the tumour, the singer also suffering bleeding to the brain.

Lifelong Preston North End fan Katy died at the age of ten due to brain cancer and Watson is back in the north west to sing at ‘A Concert For Katy’ on Friday 6th December at Preston Guild Hall.

Tickets are currently on sale for this event and can be bought by calling 0844 811 0051 or by visiting www.gigsandtours.com.

Alternatively, you can buy them straight from The Preston Guild Hall box office or by visiting www.russellwatson.com or www.katyholmestrust.co.uk.
