NCS Help For Heroes Car Wash

30 October 2013

PNE’s futsal scholars will attempt to raise funds for Help for Heroes tomorrow, Thursday 31st October, as they conduct a charity car wash.

The event will form part of the players’ National Citizen Service (NCS) Social Action Project and will take place between 10am and 2pm in the Sir Tom Finney car park at Deepdale.

It will cost just £3 per car wash so ensure you take up the opportunity to contribute to a brilliant cause.

Help for Heroes is a British charity that aims to support and provide improved facilities for servicemen and women.

So as Remembrance Day approaches, it seems fitting that North End’s futsal scholars should chose to undertake the fund raiser.

In addition, on Friday the players will walk over eight miles to lay wreaths at various war memorials around the local area.

NCS is an excellent opportunity open to all 16 and 17-year-olds in England and Northern Ireland which helps participants acquire new skills, while they take on new challenges and meet new friends.

North End’s futsal programme started just this academic year and meets the government’s new target of keeping children in full-time education until the age of 18.
