Futsal Keeper Spot Up For Grabs

10 September 2013

PNE’s futsal programme is searching for a goalkeeper to take part on the course.

The Club currently has two squads at its disposal, though one is still without a shot-stopper.

To take part on the programme as a ‘keeper, applicants need to between 16 and 17-years-old and have experience of playing between the sticks.

Candidates should also have four GCSE’s, or their equivalent, at C grade or above – though lower grades will be considered.

Futsal is currently the fastest growing form of football in England, but was originally developed in South America, before rapidly spreading across Europe.

The programme undertaken at North End is based around ten hours of academic study, practical study and a minimum of five hours game-related coaching as well as strength and conditioning training.

North End's course starts this month and will last two years, with games against the likes of Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, Everton and Manchester City already confirmed.

If you have any interest in enrolling on PNE’s futsal programme, please contact the Club’s community department on community@pne.com or call on 01772 693312.
