Oldham Athletic Betting Preview

6 September 2013

As the North End squad prepare to face Oldham Athletic on Monday evening, we preview the best odds with both Bet Sid and Sky Bet.

The last time these two sides met, PNE produced a 2-0 win at Deepdale – thanks to a Nicky Wroe penalty and Will Hayhurst’s lung busting run and finish in the 90th minute.

And Preston North End’s official in-stadia betting partner for the 2013/14 season, Bet Sid, have odds of 13/2 for that scoreline to repeat itself.

North End are 4/5 favourites to bank the three points, while the visiting Latics are 11/4 underdogs and a draw is 12/5 with the bookies.

Bet Sid have PNE No. 9 Kevin Davies and Joe Garner as favourites to hit the back of the net first against Lee Johnson’s side, at 5/1, while on of last weekend’s golscorers, Lee Holmes, is 10/1 to get his second goal in two games.

Oldham forward Adam Rooney is 13/2 to bag his fourth goal of the season, with the opener on Monday night, and new signing Danny Philliskirk is 10/1 to score first.

So, if you fancy a bet on either side using our official in-stadia betting partner Bet Sid, pick up one of their coupons from any stand at Deepdale on Monday.

The Football League’s official sponsor, Sky Bet, also have some fantastic odds on offer for you to place your bets on.

For example, the bookies have odds of 6/1 on Preston winning the match by three or more goals and 28/1 on Nicky Wroe scoring a goal for Simon Grayson’s side in both halves.

Oldham have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their games so far this season, so why not go for a bonkers bet and place your money on a high scoring win for PNE?

Sky Bet have odds of 10/1 on Preston scoring four or more goals.

Odds correct at time of writing.
