Vote For Your POTM

2 April 2014

You can now vote for your Preston North End player of the month for March at the ‘PNE Wall’.

In a month that has seen the Lilywhites pick up 14 points, there has been some exceptional individual performances and you can vote for your star man now.

Below is a list of the candidates for this month’s accolade.

Joe Garner

The striker has continued to bang in the goals for Preston this month, netting five times to take his league tally for the season to 18.

Garner bagged a brace against both Oldham Athletic and Peterborough United, as well as scoring the only goal of the game in victory over Crawley Town.

Declan Rudd

The Norwich City loanee continues to get better and better between the sticks at Deepdale.

Rudd kept two cleansheets over the course of the calendar month, pulling off some vital saves along the way, most notably, a sensational stop diving down low to his right to keep out the Posh at 1-1.

Tom Clarke

Another gem in the PNE crown after impressing yet again this month.

The former Huddersfield Town man featured in all but one of North End’s March fixtures, commanding as ever defensively, but also continuing to grab goals, this time netting the opener against Stevenage.

Bailey Wright

Wright made his 100th appearance for PNE in March and by watching the Aussie youngster, the Preston faithful will be hoping that this is the first ton of many more at Deepdale.

Wright also captained the side in the absence of John Welsh and Keith Keane and was a rock at the heart of the Preston defence as he helped contribute to what has been an impressive defensive season for the team in general.

He also added another man of the match award to his collection against Walsall as well as grabbing the vital winner that day.

Chris Humphrey

The PNE No.7 had an impressive end to February and he has continued that form in to March.

Without doubt, his most memorable performance of the month came at Boundary Park against Oldham, were the Jamaican opened the scoring and torched the Latics’ defenders all afternoon, creating the second
goal as well as assisting to win North End a second half penalty.

Paul Gallagher

Gallagher has been at the heart of everything positive the Lilywhites have done this month.

Despite not finding the net in March, he set up many a goal; including helping Neil Kilkenny to his first for Preston and delivering a pin point cross on to the head of Wright for his goal.

The Scot also hit the crossbar with a sensational effort against Peterborough, before seeing his shot come back off the post in the same game for Garner to pounce on the rebound and grab the vital second goal of that match.

You can vote for your Preston North End player of the month now by visiting the ‘PNE Wall’.
