Chris Humphrey Grasps His Chance

16 August 2014

Preston North End winger Chris Humphrey is hoping that he has taken the chance offered to him with a man of the match display against Scunthorpe United.

The PNE No.7 was outstanding at Glanford Park on Saturday as the Lilywhites thumped the Iron 4-0.

And the result was in no small way down to the winger, the Jamaican international setting up two and scoring one of the four goals.

And at full time Humphrey was visibly delighted with how the day had gone.

“It is a tough squad at the minute,” said Humphrey when speaking to PNE Player.

“Litts [Andy Little] has done really well and he scored the other day, he was unfortunate to get injured but the gaffer has been telling us that when you get your chance you have to take it and I just tried to do my
best for the team today.

“I am delighted with the goal and that is one of the things that I feel I have got to improve on and I am just buzzing that I scored on my first start.”
