David Moyes Sees Preston North End Momentum

7 August 2014

This weekend the League One programme of the year, The One And Only, has an exclusive – speaking to David Moyes.

The former North End player and manager spoke to the matchday magazine ahead of the opening day visit of Notts County and admitted being pleased with the progress being made by the Lilywhites under Simon Grayson.

“It is a long climb back now for Simon, but he is starting that climb. He has started very well, there are some good signs, with some talented young players up and coming again and I think for North End has to happen and it has to be seen as a journey we are going on to try and get back to where we were.

“It needs to be a Club that is trying to make progress. The manager needs to see that and the board needs to see that as well. Simon has shown that and I am sure they will continue to make strides, because being a solid club that is not too up and too down is the way to go.

“Let’s keep the momentum going, we have just started to gather a bit of it and are starting to show the signs of being on the up again and everyone wants to see that happening.

“I think it is great that the people behind the Club are giving Simon a real opportunity to do that.”

This weekend’s re-designed programme is packed full with some fantastic interviews, new features and over 200 photos!

Neil Kilkenny talks about his new deal and his hopes for the season in an extended interview; Kevin Davies tells us why Arnold Schwarzenegger is only the fourth most famous person he has ever met; Andy Little starts a diary of his first year at the Club; Scott Wiseman picks a fantasy five-a-side team and former player Dean Barrick talks about winning the World Cup this summer!

We have a dozen pages on our visitors, including our version of ‘six degrees of separation’. It’s 84 packed pages of perfect-bound content and is still just £3 – make sure you get yours while stocks last!
