Entertaining Game But Two Points Dropped Says Simon Grayson

30 August 2014

Preston North End manager Simon Grayson had fixed feelings following the full time whistle of Saturday’s draw with Sheffield United.

The Lilywhites went in front through Andy Little early on before a Jose Baxter shot which took a wicked deflection spun past Jamie Jones.

And despite creating a ton of opportunities as the game progressed, PNE couldn’t find a winner.

Speaking to PNE Player following the conclusion of the game, Grayson said: “I thought it was a real entertaining game from both teams, I thought both teams had a right good go at it, plenty of chances at both ends and I think we will be the more disappointed in terms of dropping the two points.

“We had some good chances, there ‘keeper made some good saves, but overall I thought it was an exciting game.

“We started the game extremely well and we just felt we didn’t defend well enough as a team and individually as well and we allowed them to get back into it.”
