Gaffer: “We Did Enough”

20 August 2014

Simon Grayson believes that Preston North End done enough to claim all three points at the Keepmoat Stadium despite only leaving with one.

Doncaster Rovers scored deep into injury time to claim a draw following Chris Humphrey’s stunning second half strike which gave the all yellow Lilywhites the lead.

But Nathan Tyson prodded home from close range to nick a point for Rovers leaving Grayson to ponder what might have been.

Speaking to PNE Player at full time the gaffer said: “I think that we done enough, we weren’t at our best in terms of chances or anything like that but it was very much a tight even game.

“Given that was the first time Doncaster had changed their system to match us up tonight; I think that was out of respect to how we’ve played, we couldn’t get into the areas and open up the space that we would like to normally but we were very workman like.

“If you are not going to win you want to draw the game, but obviously when you get a goal in front you think you are going to go on and win it.”
