Preston North End manager Simon Grayson was happy that his side took their chance against Oldham Athletic on Saturday.
And the gaffer was quick to acknowledge that his team failed to fire on all cylinders, but claiming the victory is all that really mattered in the end.
Speaking exclusively to PNE Player, Grayson said: “There was a lot of so, so performances both with and without the ball.
“We want to play, we want to get it down and move the ball quickly and we played a system today with Gally [Paul Gallagher] just behind were you have to utilise getting into spaces and passing it.
“We did that at times but we didn’t do it as well as the opposition and full credit to them.
“They gave us a real good game today and they didn’t take their chances, we took our chance and ultimately we won the match and that’s all that really matters.”
